Mol'Rihan / khaa︱beach

Narrator BOT 07-Jul-25 09:48 PM
This is where the shore of the beach of the Khaa district was - as Mol'Rihan's largest beach, it tended to attract a lot of visitors in the summer. Purple waves crashed along the shoreline, calm in the area near the homes and other buildings, but on the opposite end of the waterfront, there were much larger waves. As any of the waves came up to the edge, the air had a refreshing coolness to it as the light mist fell into the atmosphere. Despite the cooler temperature of the planet, the beach still exuded a comfortable warmth and, well, good vibes. Away from the homes and further along the shore near the larger waves, a long, stone bridge reached across small sand dunes that are filled with scurrying creatures and long, elegant grasses. Further off, there's a small forest, or jungle - hard to tell what, but lots of trees far off in the distance. Back to the large waves - close by those was a fairly large shack with a wooden sign that read 'Dudesek's Surf Shop' in 3 languages: Havrannsu, Rihannsu and Standard. A sign below also said 'AND BAR' as if it were tacked on much later. There were several barstools set up at the counter of said shack, and a middle-aged Reman man named Dudesek is usually behind said counter with a toothy smile on his face.

Visiting the beach was Nikiyta! Dressed in a dark blue speedo after having thoroughly rubbed sun lotion everywhere. He wasn't as pale as a full Aenar, but the sun was no joke! He had his special head set on too to prevent his telepathy-to-voice device from being destroyed by the sand. The greatest enemy of all! (edited)

Allan was wearing a buttoned shirt that was currently unbuttoned: a red and white flowery pattern on a black background. He was wearing that, some sunglasses, and some black swimshorts that were really a speedo but slightly longer, or the shortest shorts could be. He was hanging out at Dudesek's Surf Shack, sort of just leaning against the bar when he saw Nikiyta, and pulled that silly move where he pulled down his sunglasses down a little to look him over. It wasn't anything he hadn't seen before considering the two had been in an onsen holosim before, in which they'd been overwhelmed by little rubber Lapras. "Heeeey, Nikiyta, oh my God, I-" he grinned as he walked up to them, casually slinging an arm around their shoulders before he used his free hand to lift up their chin and give them a small kiss in greeting. "Sooo glad you could make it, you look great - could I get you something to drink..?" He gestured to the bar behind him.

Nikiyta was happy to see his friend as if he was waiting for him! He did his best at a wink, but he wasn't sure if it looked like a wink or like he got some stuck in his eyes. Either way, he touched Allan's waist to hold him briefly when he was kissed. "Yeah happy I could make it! I was gonna come to Mol'Rihan anyway to check out the pipe and metal museum, it's tactile," He said enthusiastically. He didn't even know there could be a museum for such things, but Nikiyta was always down for some tactile exploration. "Drink? Sure! Anything cold, really. What do you recommend?" Nikiyta couldn't 'see' Allan's outfit, obviously, but he could feel his body underneath his shirt and could only imagine Allan was in his classic short shorts.

"Ho-ly shit, I almost forgot about that, that's literally on my priority list, you - you haven't gone yet, have you? Because I've still got to go. Like, I need to go, before shore leave's over. Which is like, a lot of time, but still." Allan was an engineer and a pipe and metal museum? Yeah, he needed to be there. "Anything cold, well, hm... do you like alcohol? I can get you anything with or without, really.."

"No, not yet. I was building some furniture for my family from uhh... R'KEA, it's a Romulan furniture shop that makes you build everything yourself," Nikiyta removed his arm around Allan's waist so he could flex his biceps to show off his strength. "We can definitely go together! I want to caress every surface!" Nikiyta said with the enthusiasm of an engineer. "hmm... maybe without alcohol? I don't drink often and I'm not sure if that'll interfere with my voice implant," He said, pointing to the little headset he had on that acted as his voice.

The Insectoid looked around the beach, unsure of what to do. Shears was never really used to taking time off for fun. Let alone at a beach. Their home, 'New Xindus' was fairly rocky and mountainous. Spending time at the beach felt like the complete opposite of what they were used to. They felt like a cactus in the tundra here. The hefty bug-person held its leg in the water, expecting something exciting to happen from the simple act. It barely could even feel it under its hard exoskeleton. It had still yet to see the appeal that their colleagues had spoken of. The security wing spoke highly of beach, recounting many experiences filled with words that Shears couldn't recognize. The team insisted the bug not go in his uniform, since it was meant to be a 'casual, out-of-work' activity. Made no difference to them. They wore that uniform wherever they went. But as an act of trust, they agreed to get a standard one-piece suit. There were a large number of people dotted around the shore, only a few could Shears recognize. Out of all the points of interest on the beach, the stone bridge seemed to interest them the most. It was more familiar than the beach. What really caught their eye, however were the people out on the water, standing on some board, managing to stay upright as the waves washed over them. That made them stop there and lift that two-toed foot out of the water.

Nikiyta sensed a new person! He turned his head towards the newcomer. "Jolan tru!" He sensed their form and realised they also had antennae! He didn't know much of anything besides that though, it wasn't like Nikiyta could identify a person's species based on vibes. Well, sometimes he could, but not when they were a complete stranger.

At the sound of Nikiyta's voice, Shears turned around confused. He was greeted by two others he didn't recognize. "Oh, hello, sirs." He waved, taking his foot out of the water and shuffling nearer. "Do you know where I can find one of those styled planks of wood?" She pointed off at a group of surfers in the distance, cutting across oncoming waves.

"Wood?" Nikiyta was confused what this person could mean. His antennae moved to follow the direction the other was pointing. He sensed the other surfers, but it still didn't click what the 'styled planks of wood' were. "What is a styled plank of wood? I mean, we have wood, I think?" He turned his head towards Allan. "But I'm not sure about styled? I'm Aenar so uh, maybe not the right person to ask about styling," Nikiyta could 'see', but his sight was more sensing other things than perceiving things visually. So he knew the surfers were there but he could not say what they were wearing or any details without being closer.

"Ooooh, yes, I love that shop, great stuff, good quality," Allan said, laughing when Nikiyta flexed their biceps. "You want to - I mean, if you want to c- I've got some surfaces you could start out with, buuut.." he laughed, then shook his head as he went up to Dudesek, detaching himself from Nikiyta as he asked for a surprise drink.

When the familiar engineer walked back up to the bar, Dudesek, a Reman around the age of 60, gave a toothy smile and a wave. "Heyyy, man, yolan zhu! Yeah, I got you, coming right up, you having fun?" He took out a glass with a wide rim and started mixing something together, some purples and blues blending together into the drink at some point.

"Oh, hell yeah, Dude, great, honestly, like... weather's amazing right now, and I thiiiink Chad was just talking about how the wave's're gonna be absolutely sick in a bit, too," he glanced back to the beach and the waves that were just gentle on the shore at the moment, and then over to Nikiyta, and then back at Dudesek, "oh, could I have the drink on the rocks, please?"

"Awww, yeah, they've looked like they're going to come in before the evening," Dudesek said about the waves - he had a perfect view of them all day, after all. "Oh, for sure -" he took a cold bucket and poured something into the glass - sort of like ice cubes, but they were rocks! They were a pretty light blue color. Then he poured the bluish-purpley drink into the glass, and put some salt around the rim before he handed it to Allan. "There you go, man, enjoy!"

"Ooh, that looks sick, thanks, Dude," Allan grinned as he took the drink and then walked back over to Nikiyta and handed them the drink, making sure they had a hold on it before he let it go. "Alllright, here it is, surprise drink, no alcohol - on the rocks, nice 'n cold for ya." He smiled at the new person they were saying hi to, and then followed their point to the group of - "Oh, hey! Yeah, that's - surfboards, we call them surfboards," he ran over real quick to go grab his own, a smoothly waxed down, red board with some pretty black swirls on it. "You wanna rent one? I know a guy."

Shears perked up at Allen's words. "Oh, yes, I would, sir. It seems suitably exciting for me." Shears bowed a green, scaly head to Nikiyta and followed the red-haired engineer. "Thank you."

"Surfboards!" Nikiyta repeated as he turned his head and his antennae leaned towards the other Reman approaching them. He assumed this guy was another one of Allan's friends. "In the water? The water with the... the fish? The shellfish?!" Nikiyta was no stranger to plunging into actual water, he often went for little swims in Siberia and Andoria, but never in an ocean with waves. "I would say I will watch but uh," Nikiyta laughed and his antennae wobbled with the little shakes of his head. "I will collect the vibes if you guys wanna go," He could actually 'see' them surfing, but it was less of a visual experience and more of a sensory one in his case. Aenar sight was a little funky.

The green alien pointed a thick finger at the surf shop and bar across the beach, assuming that was what the officers were speaking about. "There is someone here who will help me?" she asked with intrigue in her voice.

Lt. JG. Triple 1 | NPC BOT 19-Jul-25 04:58 PM
Triple 1 knelt carefully on the warm sand, their expression intense and focused as they meticulously constructed the sandcastle. Each grain was deliberately placed, each layer compressed with precision and thoughtful analysis. The structure wasn’t merely a playful creation; it was a prototype of a new architectural sandcastle design they,Triple 0, and Master Computer had theorized during their last holodeck session—an experiment in structural stability under shifting environmental variables. * *They paused momentarily, dipping their fingers into the cool incoming tide to assess temperature and consistency. The precise measurement was satisfying, reinforcing their sense of equilibrium and methodical planning. Then, closing their eyes for a moment, they let themselves feel beyond the measurements, allowing the subtle textures of wet sand, the salty wind brushing across their skin, and the faint echo of Triple 0's laughter to flow through them. They reached, not physically but emotionally, tuning into the presence of their counterpart like a faint signal carried on the wind. In that moment, Triple 1 could feel it—Triple 0's joy, rippling like sunlight through water. The sensation traveled instantly across their cybernetic bond, not as processed code but as raw emotional bandwidth. It shimmered inside their circuits and through their chest—a pulse of effervescent delight that wasn’t calculated, just known. It wasn’t data; it was them, shared. For a brief, grounding breath, Triple 1 let themselves become a passive conduit, receiving the full emotional packet of their partner’s laughter, their movement, their delight—warm, bright, and alive. Nearby, the cooler bearing Starfleet's sleek insignia was reassuringly close, just like last year! Yet, amidst their structuring, they occasionally glanced toward the water, catching glimpses of Triple 0's carefree delight, feeling a quiet, grounding reassurance from their partner’s joy.

Lt. JG. Triple 0 | ENG BOT 19-Jul-25 04:59 PM
Triple 0 frolicked in the gentle surf, their laughter ringing out freely and joyfully across the water. Waves splashed softly against their lavender skin, the refreshing coolness invigorating and delightful. To them, each wave was an adventure, a whimsical puzzle waiting to be unraveled by their boundless curiosity and imagination. They spun, giggled, and splashed, fully immersed in the playful embrace of the ocean. Despite their carefree demeanor, Triple 0 occasionally cast a thoughtful gaze toward the shore, smiling warmly at Triple 1's diligent craftsmanship. Their partner’s steady, methodical presence was comforting, an anchor that allowed them to indulge in their own vibrant creativity and boundless optimism freely. In moments between the waves, Triple 0 reached outward—not with hands, but with heart—letting their exuberance dance across the invisible thread between them. Together, they formed a perfect balance—each enriching the other’s experience of the day.
